In my opinion, nothing completes an outfit better than a stunning pair of shoes. Perhaps it's the ability for shoes to define and transform an outfit—to tell a story—that has kept me endlessly fascinated with them. Thus, it brings me great joy to have befriended a brilliant footwear designer, Michael Mack of Michael Grey Footwear. His designs are a rare combination of modern silhouettes, vintage storytelling, subtle yet exciting details and superior comfort. Michael is definitely my sole mate when it comes to shoes! Keep reading for a closer look at one of my favorites, the Firenze Notte.

When I first collaborated with Michael for the L'Amore court pumps, I learned his inspiration for the collection as a whole came from the vintage barbershop setting—their style, their precision, and the tools they used. I think the Firenze Notte is a beautiful embodiment of those qualities, with its laser back detailing and sleek cork and leather wedge. I paired the boots with a lush shearling and feminine skirt, because like the boots, it's a balance of sophistication and edginess. I can see the Firenze boots working equally well with leather pants, distressed jeans, or a mini skirt.
What do you think about my look (hopefully the last winter-inspired one!), and how would you style the Firenze Notte boots? Visit the official Michael Grey website to learn more about his amazing brand. Thank you for reading!
