Hey friends! Is anyone as excited as I am about autumn festivities along with the cooler weather? My boyfriend and I took full advantage of the weather last weekend and went apple picking in Milton, NY. It's funny because I usually take less than ten minutes to get dressed, but this time I found myself struggling with the question, “what do I wear?" For a girl whose staple items are blazers, dresses and impracticably high heels, it takes more effort to “dress down" (as strange as that may sound). Here's my choice for casual, comfortable, yet still me.
Sweater: Zara (Available in black, here)
Pants: Zara TRF (Available here)
Shoes: Etienne Aigner
Bag: Pour La Victoire
Recently I've been trying to add practical and stylish pieces to my wardrobe. I decided to purchase these skinny trousers full price because they're so versatile and effortlessly chic. In other words, it's strong enough of a statement piece to carry the weight of an entire look without too much styling. A fun, timeless leopard print works with boots, heels, and even those crazy sneaker wedges. I decided to stick with flat ankle boots for easy trekking (which turned out to be a great idea). I love the way Etienne Aigner balanced urban toughness with femininity through its slim structure. Lastly, I opted for texture and color through the sweater and accessories.

Lots of firsts in this post: debuting my flat shoes and my boyfriend, Doug :) What do you think about the look? I'd love to hear about some of your favorite casual pieces too! Hope you enjoyed my entry and see you next week.
