Hi everyone! This weekend, I wore a playful and colorful print to match the summer-like weather (high seventies!). I haven't worn floral bottoms since my elementary school days of mushroom cuts and mismatched outfits, but with the help of basic styling rules and a more developed fashion sense, I created two looks:
Blouse & Blazer: Express
Shoes: Vince Camuto
Clutch: Michael Kors
I opted for bolder accessories and a sleeker silhouette in the ‘City Chic' look. My favorite element is the pairing of the blazer's faux-leather trim with its strong shoulder. The lipstick was also meant to complement the pant's red florals. Other great options for floral trousers are available at Mango (here) and Zara (here). For the casual ‘Sunday Brunch' outfit, I chose a light, solid blouse to make the prints the focal point. As with most looks, balance is key: mix tight with loose; long with short; patterned with solid. Of course you can be daring by creating print-on-print ensembles, which were seen on Fall 2012 runway shows at Prada, Miu Miu, etc.
What do you think about the looks? Is the printed pants trend something you'd try or are already obsessing over? Thanks for visiting and talk to you next week!
