Hi friends, it's been a while since I posted—mostly because I spent last week pulling myself out of the carefree summer mindset and refocusing on what's important. Still, there's always room for fun when one has a versatile closet! A few weeks ago I went shopping at the Zara on Lexington Avenue and stocked up on staple items for fall (boucle jacket, sequin cardigan and studded flats). At first glance, the one exception was a light chambray shirt with silky print sleeves, which seemed distinctly summer. However, I knew I had the perfect skirt and shoes in my wardrobe to style one shirt for two seasons. Look below for my summer and fall ensembles.
Styling this shirt for summer was easy: I kept the colors light and makeup simple (similar to my Chambray post). I especially enjoy the zipper detailing on the white pants, which provided a horizontal focal point that was paralleled by the black shoe strap. Subtle hints of yellow in the print sleeves also worked with the metal-framed H&M clutch. Lastly, I accessorized with feather drop earrings to reinforce the casual and carefree vibe.

Attitude, spikes and texture—these are words that come to mind when I think about fall fashion. I changed seasons by layering D&G lipgloss in Amethyst over D&G lipstick in Scarlet to create a decadent, berry hue that's popular for fall. To add more texture, I paired the top with my favorite faux-leather skirt from Forever 21, wore a taupe cuffed sandal and added a croc-embossed satchel. Golden accessories including the Michael Kors watch and skull necklace complete the look.
