Hi everyone! Next week marks the beginning of August and, for many of my co-interns, the end of their time at PR Consulting. I loved getting to know the other girls (and one guy), working with them, and admiring their daily outfits. I thought it would be fun to share three looks I wore for the week of July 23-27
Shirt: Club Monaco
Flats: Enzo Angiolini
I kept the colors in the same family: light blue, light grey, and metallic. Mixing contrasting colors might be more interesting, but it's okay to keep palettes simple too. The black belt served as the single dark item to provide balance. As for the shoes, I tend to buy flat versions of my heels in case I'm faced with a walking-intensive day. Comfort first, fashion second!
The first word that comes to mind is “organic." The knit, straw-like top—a hand-me-down from my mom's fashionable coworker back in the '90s—paired with the beaded necklace of many colors, evokes an organic image. To extrapolate the color in the beads, I wore bright orange trousers from JCrew and black strappy sandals from Zara.
Skirt: Ann Taylor
The final, and perhaps the most professional look, features a ruffled blouse, floral print skirt, and minimal accessories. The yellow starburst necklace was mostly concealed by my top, but peeked out enough to coordinate with the daffodils in my skirt. Lastly, a black purse and simple shoes prevent the colors from becoming overwhelming.
One of my favorite parts of waking up at 7 AM every morning is picking out what to wear for the day. What expresses my mood the best? If I'm tired, what's the most comfortable but still put-together outfit? I'm someone who loves routine and stability—but definitely not when it comes to clothes! I hope you enjoyed browsing through these looks. Stay tuned for an upcoming post on my recent Zara haul (score!).
