One thing I love about summer fashion is the abundance of easy, fun trends to try. As I was cleaning my constantly messy room, I came across several tribal-influenced garments and accessories. Some were new purchases from the spring, while others came into my wardrobe during high school. Either way, it was fun putting together the pieces into two Aztec inspired looks.

Tribal prints have seen continued presence in high street such as Zara (link for shoes) and Asos (link to their Aztec Shop) as well as high fashion, including Proenza Schouler and Derek Lam's Spring 2012 collections. I love the mix of earthy colors and geometric patterns paired with bold accessories. In a color palette of desert hues, the addition of an eye-catching shade of orange, aqua, or green can act as a focal point in the look.
